The Spectra Precision LL300S Laser Level features a rugged design with a metal sunshade that provides superior drop and weather protection (IP66). Designed for durability and reliability, the IP66 protection rating allows the LL300S to be operated in adverse environmental conditions, such as heavy rain. The LL300S can withstand drops of up to 3 feet (1 meter) onto concrete and tripod tip-over up to 5 feet (1.5 meters), resulting in reduced downtime and lower repair costs. Mud and concrete can be washed off with a hose.

The durable, rugged design of the LL300S reduces downtime due to drops, tripod tip-overs, and accidents. It minimizes power costs and increases reliability with a choice of rechargeable or alkaline batteries. The LL300S increases productivity with fast setups, fewer mechanical parts, and automatic self-leveling. One-person elevation control with a 2,600 ft (800 m) diameter range increases productivity. The LL300S is weather and jobsite condition proof, maintaining performance even in rainy, dusty, and other harsh job site and weather conditions.

The Spectra Precision LL300S, LL300S-27, LL300N, LL300N-2, and GL412N are all part of the LL300 series. The LL300S and LL300S-27 have a working range of 2,600 feet, an accuracy of ±1/16 inch @ 100 feet, and electronic ± 5° automatic self-leveling. The LL300N and LL300N-2 have the same specifications, while the GL412N has a manual - single grade range.

All models in the LL300 series feature horizontal and vertical leveling, with the LL300N-2 having a dual grade range. Remote control is available with the RC402N for the LL300S, LL300S-27, LL300N, and LL300N-2. The battery types vary, with the LL300S, LL300S-27, LL300N, and LL300N-2 using NiMH rechargeable batteries, and the GL412N using 4 x D Alkaline batteries. All lasers in the LL300 series are Class 2 and have a power output of less than 3.4 milliwatts.
